Hi,

my name is Louis. I’m nineteen years old
and currently a second-year
industrial design student at the
Munich University of Applied Sciences.

In the past years, I’ve been interning & gathering
experiences at technology companies,
communication and architecture
agencies in Germany, as well as in the US.

Among these are:

Isaria Corporate Design AG
Munich, Germany

Serviceplan Design
Munich, Germany

Schmidhuber + Partner
Munich, Germany

Google LLC / Nest Labs Inc.
Palo Alto, CA, USA

From elementary school days onwards, I don’t
remember a single day that I was bored.

I was playing around with nearly all the digital and
physical tools that were surrounding me at the time,
ranging from bits of stones and wood I found while
hiking around in nature, to my Mum’s PowerBook G4.

While growing up, I was searching for a
profession that allowed me to do what
I love the most, while generating the
greatest benefit for as many people as possible.

In the end, I decided to study industrial design,
because I found it to be the perfect
tool to turn ideas into reality, right at the
intersection between rationality
and emotionality, technology and creativity.

I’m fascinated by products and ideas that
can help us live a better, more meaningful life and
maybe even help us to survive in the future.

I’d like to keep thinking positively about the
world and hope to continue to wonder about
the things we haven’t yet achieved to do.

In the future, I’d like to be part of an
inspiring group of people who create new
ideas, tools, products and services that
are meant to have a large positive impact.

If possible, I’d like to be close to the most
innovative, humane & meaningful technology,
while keeping an open room for analogue,
simple and tactile experiences.

My wish is to be a good “gestalt-engineer”, who
will help to improve and
declutter our everyday life bit by bit.

Thanks for viewing my portfolio.
